Mission Statement

While state, national and world events concern and affect most citizens, it is the local events that have the greatest impact. It is with the local community, also, where citizens can have the greatest influence. Their votes count more in local elections and their help is more appreciated in local events and projects.

It is the elected and appointed officials of local government who direct the efforts of and make the decisions for citizens. They pass ordinances, manage the services of the local government and provide a bridge between citizens and central government. They are often called upon to perform a number of varied tasks and duties. Most often then, they are generalists and are not necessarily trained in a specific field such as accounting or engineering.

We at Our Town software believe that the local government employees are the most important government employees. It is our goal to provide them with the best software tools possible. We want them to be able to concentrate on their jobs and to be as effective as they can be.

Our Town designs products specifically to be used at the local level. We define quality software as software that is useful and easy-to-use. It should provide our customers with the answers they need. At the same time we aim to make using it as natural as using a pencil. In order to achieve and maintain superior quality, our customers' needs come first in our software development and customer service.
